This is what it looks like outside my front door. We just got our power back on after a three day outage! And we are lucky, I have heard some areas will be down for up to two weeks. It has been below 10 degrees (F) the last two nights. Luckily I was able to stick everything from the 'fridge outside. Brrr! Makes you appreciate things like light and heat! Phone and internet were out, too, for two days. I'm off to take a much-needed shower.... :)

Thank you!!
Thank you to Beth at Beth Fish Reads and to The Blogger Guide for helping me to customize my template and to Andrea at The Little Bookworm for improving my header!!
About Me
- The Tome Traveller
- New Hampshire, United States
- Bibliophile, Anglophile, Traveller... I have been an avid reader all of my life, since I took the Dr. Seuss Dictionary away from my Mom when I was less than a year old because I wanted to read it myself. In college, where I earned my degree in English Literature, I was often asked "What are you going to do with it?" Now I finally have the answer to that question!!! Being employed as a Flight Attendant for twenty years has given me a lot of life experience and, better still, a lot of time to read. I love to travel for fun, too.

Glad to see your power's back. That ice is nasty stuff.
Brr. I'm glad we get snow and not ice here. Our low was 2 degrees last night, and I can't imagine that with no heat. Glad that you have your power back.
I can't even imagine going back to snow and ice. Our friends in Maine said with the wood stove going they got the temperature in the house up to a whopping temperature of 55 degrees. Waaaaaay too cold!
It's times like this you really appreciate the power company.
I am glad that you got your power back. I have been away from that kind of weather for a while now (I used to live in Maine and Rhode Island though RI was pretty mild). There are definitely good sides, but no power is not one of them.
A hot shower will cure most everything! Glad you're alright. It's about the same temp in Seattle!
That was easily the best shower I have ever had in my life! I had been wearing about five layers of clothes for three days. Nothing feels better when you are cold than hot water!
Our house got down to 46 degrees inside! I could never (make that NEVER) have been a pioneer.
Keep warm everyone!
Brr... Ice storms are never fun! Glad you're back!
