I love this photo of my family in their uniforms. That's my Grandpa on the left, he was a pilot in WWII and in the Air Force for years, retiring as a Colonel. Next to him is my Grandma in her Red Cross uniform. They are both gone now and I miss them every day. That's my Mom in her Girl Scouts uniform and my uncles next to her, they both were in the service as young men. My Dad went to the Air Force Academy and served in the Air Force, too.
So today I would just like to say, to all of our Veterans around the world and here at home, a heartfelt thank you for past and present service.

Great post! My father was in the air force. My grandfathers served too - one played the drums in the army band and the other was in the coast guard.
Beautiful picture. Thanks for the reminder to think of all of the veterans who have served our country today.
It is a beautiful photo. I'll be giving my dad a call later today to thank him for his service. My mother's father was a veteran as well.
Love, love, love that photo! Reminders of service within our own families are important. Thanks for sharing this one.
This blog is my daughter's. The picture is my parents, brothers and I, taken in El Paso about 1951 & when I opened her site the picture made me cry (now I get to finish teaching a group of educators with a red nose & eyes). My husband was an Army special forces office in Viet Nam so the military is a long standing dedication from my family. My daughter is a treasure and I thank her for remembering the sacrifices our veterans made for us all. Caroline Miller
That's a great photo!
